Dear Chanhassen Residents, As we approach the end of the year, I want to highlight a few upcoming events: Saturday, December 5th at 5pm.: Annual Tree LightingWhile it is disappointing that I can’t “flip the switch” to light City Center alongside excited and cheerful residents, please join me, virtually, for this fun event on the City’s Facebook page. I will also be streaming live from my Mayor Facebook page. Monday, December 7th at 7pm: City Council Truth-in-Taxation MeetingAt this meeting, our residents may provide public feedback on the proposed 2021 budget. On September 28 th, the City of Chanhassen set its maximum levy at 2.77% for the 2021 tax year. Monday, December 14th at 7pm: City Council MeetingThe City Council will vote on the final 2021 tax levy, 5-year CIP, Utility Rates. - Code Amendment- Outdoor Storage: There has been a request to change a long-standing city ordinance which regulates outdoor storage of boats, trailers, and recreational vehicles on residential properties. We WILL be taking public comment and ask for your feedback as this ordinance has been in place since 1972. For information on this proposed change, please review the web page. Feedback? Email publiccomments@ci.chanhassen.mn.us.
I do hope that you remain engaged for the remaining events of 2020. Your involvement has always been an important component to the success of Chanhassen. Warmest Regards, Elise Ryan
