of the Senior Center at City Hall promptly at 9:30am.

debris in our streets. Volunteers will rake, sweep or shovel

Phosphorus is a major source of water pollution that causes
excessive growth of algae and depletes oxygen needed
for fish and native plants. Impervious surfaces, such as
driveways, streets, and parking lots provide a pathway
for phosphorus to get to local lakes, rivers, and streams.
Phosphorus on streets comes from decaying organic matter
such as leaves, branches, and loose dirt. Fall is one of the
peak periods for the introduction of phosphorous from paved
surfaces into local waters.
What to bring?
Brooms, shovels, rakes and wagons or wheelbarrows to
haul any large debris.
What is provided?
Lawn and leaf bags, trash bags, gloves, and safety vests.
