[ARCHIVED] City of Chanhassen Promotes Ruegemer to Park & Recreation Director Effective August 1

Park & Rec

Chanhassen, Minn., June 19, 2020 - The City of Chanhassen is pleased to announce the promotion of longtime Recreation Superintendent Jerry Ruegemer to Park and Recreation Director effective August 1, replacing outgoing Park & Recreation Director Todd Hoffman, who will retire at the end of July after 33 years with the City in the Parks & Recreation department.

Ruegemer has served the City and community admirably for 30 years in the Parks & Recreation department in his current position, and as also previously as Recreation Supervisor.

If you’ve ever reserved an athletic field, picnic shelter, or if you’ve attended any of the dozens of Parks & Recreation-sponsored recreation programs and special events over the years, you’ve most likely encountered and worked with Ruegemer. His friendly nature and work ethic have enabled him to forge strong bonds with local athletic associations, business and individuals in the community. We look forward to Ruegemer’s continuing the well-established tradition of excellence and service to the City’s residents for which Chanhassen Parks & Recreation department is known.
