Fire Department Open House - Sept. 24, 6-8:30pm

Monday, September 24 from 6-8:30pm

We will have food, snacks, drinks, and ice cream available throughout the night, and a bounce house on site for kids. As in year’s past, we will have visits from:

• Carver County Sheriff’s Office

• Minnesota DNR

• Ridgeview Ambulance Service

• Xcel Energy

• Centerpoint Energy

• and many more!

Some of the new events added this year include:

• A community Hands-Only CPR and AED class will be held downstairs in the fire department training room from 6:30 –7pm.

• We will have a fire escape trailer on hand for kids and adults to practice safe fire escape techniques.

• Fire Extinguisher hands-on training will be offered on site with the new Electronic Fire Extinguisher Trainer.

• Several live fire demonstrations will take place throughout the night including:

» Kitchen grease fire demo

» Everyday household fire danger demos including candle safety, firework safety, stovetop safety, oven fires, smoking materials, and many other sources of ignition will be covered

» A live fire in a small room with modern furnishings, and of course, the ever-popular fire truck rides will be offered again this year.
