Recycling Days


Each spring and fall Chanhassen residents can receive $20 in FREE recycling fees at the Carver County Environmental Center.  Additionally, the city offers a free paper shredding event.

Participants can bring up to 4 bags or boxes of paper documents to be shredded on site.  The event is free and open to the public.

Fall - Programming Change

No in person event.  One-time use only $20 coupon vouchers will be issued in the winter edition of the Chanhassen Connection newsletter.  Newsletters will be mailed to all Chanhassen residents the week of Oct. 26.  The coupons can be used one-time only whenever the recycling center is open until Dec. 30, 2020.

Bring  the coupon and your items to the Carver County Environmental Center and receive $20 in free recycling fees. Chanhassen residents can recycle items such as appliances, electronics, tires, and scrap metal. These items have associated fees, but with the one-time only coupon the first $20 per address will be free of charge. You will need to present an ID to verify your residency. Yard Waste Collection

The city of Chanhassen will be hosting a yard waste drop off event at the Chanhassen Public Works (7901 Park Place) on Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 7:30-3:30pm.  Chanhassen residents can bring leaves, grass, brush and logs.  Yard waste in compostable paper bags can be dropped off as is.  Yard waste in plastic bags must be emptied and the bags removed from the site.  Clean logs with no dirt, are acceptable.  No private contractors or yard services allowed.  $1/bag, $8/cu yd. Credit or cash accepted.
