Recycling Days

Overview


Each spring and fall Chanhassen residents can receive $20 in FREE recycling fees at the Carver County Environmental Center.  Additionally, the city offers a free paper shredding event.

Participants can bring up to 4 bags or boxes of paper documents to be shredded on site.  The event is free and open to the public.

2021 Recycling Days


There will be no single day recycling events scheduled for 2021.
Instead, a $20 coupon voucher will be issued in the spring/summer and fall/winter editions of the Chanhassen Connection newsletter which is mailed to all Chanhassen residents.  The vouchers can be used at any time until the expiration date.

Chanhassen residents can recycle items such as appliances, electronics, tires, and scrap metal. These items have associated fees, but with the voucher the first $20 per address will be free of charge. You will need to present an ID to verify your residency. Yard Waste Collection

Chanhassen residents can bring leaves, grass, brush and logs (any diameter).  Yard waste in compostable paper bags can be dropped off as is.  Yard waste in plastic bags must be emptied and the bags removed from the site.  Clean logs with no dirt, are acceptable.  No private contractors or yard services allowed.  $1/bag, $8/cu yd. Credit or cash accepted.
