The Bluff Creek Trail section from State Highway 41 to Century Trail/Century Boulevard is in need of rehabilitation. The work consists of reconstructing a bituminous trail, which will include: grading, full depth reclamation, upgrading storm water culverts, upgrading pedestrian ramps, clearing unsafe trees and restoring any disturbed areas.
The contract for this work was awarded to the lowest bidder, Northwest Asphalt. While construction is underway, the trail will remain closed. Work is scheduled to begin Monday, September 30, 2019 and is anticipated to be completed by November 15, 2019. (weather permitting)
The rain last week caused a slight delay and made tree clearing a bit messy, but things are still on track. Residents with irrigation systems near the trail should proceed as they normally would with winterizing their systems. If the project requires any disturbance to irrigation systems, contractors will make repairs, test the system, and re-winterize.
